Pedro Uriol

Economics degree from the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid; Master in Film & TV Production (MEGA) from the Media Business School; Spanish ‘Producer on the Move’ by European Film Promotion (EFP); Graduate from Inside Pictures and Member of the Spanish Film Academy.

After working as Project Manager in COFIDES, a Public Development Bank and in EDFI in Brussels, Pedro joined Morena Films in 1999 as its Head of Business and Legal Affairs.

He actively participated in international productions such as, One of the Hollywood Ten (directed by Karl Francis with Jeff Goldblum and Greta Scacci, and Inferno, by Joaquim Leitao.

He later went on to be Associate Producer in local films like Gente Pez, (directed by Jorge Iglésias); El Lápiz del Carpintero (Antón Reixa); Canícula, (de Álvaro García-Capelo) and The Best Is Yet to Come (by David Blanco & Jorge Semprún).

As Producer, Pedro has developed and put together multiple internationally recognized feature films such as the Psychological Thriller The Warning (directed by Daniel Calparsoro), the Apocalyptic Thriller The Last Days (directed by Alex & David Pastor); the Period Drama Farewell, My Queen (Les Adieux à la Regne, by Benôit Jacquot); the Romantic Drama Bon Appétit (by David Pinillos) and the Social Drama America (by Joao Nuno Pinto). He has also produced a wide range of local comedies such as Salir Pitando (Álvaro Fernández-Armero); SLAM and Fin de Curso (both directed by Miguel Martí).

Currently he is Exec-Producing, Diablero, a TV Show for Netflix set in Mexico; Intemperie, a Period Drama directed by Benito Zambrano; and BajoCero (‘Below Zero’), an Action Thriller to be directed by Lluis Quilez.
