Since December 2021, Álex Martínez Roig has been an advisor and board member of the production company Morena Films, until assuming the non-executive presidency of the company in September 2022. He also collaborate as an external editor with Penguin Random House since January 2022.
Previously, from July 2021 to December 2021, he was advisor to the CEO at Movistar +. From June 2015 – July 2021, he was Content Director at Movistar +, responsible for the direction and content strategy of all the channels and services that Movistar + offer, in addition to third-party content on all platforms. Management of the policy for the acquisition of third-party fiction rights, and in negotiations with third-party channels.
From December 2009 to June 2015, Álex Martínez Roig was General Manager of Content and Rights Acquisition at Canal +. Channels, Cinema and Series and Sports at Canal +. From June 2005 to December 2009, he was Director of Pay TV Content at Sogecable.
From December 1993 to June 2005, he was editor-in-chief and later deputy editor of the weekend edition of El País Semanal.
