Elena’s journey began with a bachelor’s degree in law, but by a twist of fate, she found herself working at a film laboratory called Image Film in 1998.
You might be wondering, do film labs even exist, and what exactly do they do?
For Elena, this marked the beginning of a lasting love for her profession. She caught the “dust of the trade”, as they used to say in the film labs of that era.
After her time at Image Film, Elena’s career path led to Fotofilm and then Deluxe, where she continually progressed, gained valuable experience, and collaborated with renowned production companies like El Deseo, Fernando Trueba PC, and distributors such as Fox, Warner, and Universal.
However, everything changed in 2013 when the photochemical industry came to an end, and along with it, the concept of film labs began to fade away. A chapter in Elena’s career came to a close.
Just three months later, Morena came knocking on her door, sparking a passionate love affair. Elena began coordinating “Deliveries and Materials,” and within six months, she had risen to become a Postproduction Supervisor for the film “Las Ovejas No Pierden el Tren” by Morena Films in 2014. From that point on, her career surged at an exhilarating pace, with no time for breaks.
Now, with over 50 titles to her name, more years of experience, and a few more wrinkles, Elena’s love for each project not only remains steadfast but has evolved into something more profound than just a profession, it has become: A PASSION FOR HELPING TO TELL STORIES.
