Towards the end of last year, Cataluna was about to decide its future in one of the strangest and dramatic elections in modern democratic history. Accompanying the candidates from Cataluna to Brussels and finally to Estremera’s prison, this documentary shows the never before seen face of the elections: the meetings backstage, the debate preparations and the privacy of these candidates during the campaign and election night. Through dozens of balanced interviews with intellectuals, jurists, politicians and citizens, we attempt to understand the build up and aftermath of these elections, how did we reach this point and what does the future hold?
