Pilar studied Business Administration at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. She worked in the media sector for Arthur Anderson, working on project consultancy and auditing of key figures in the Spanish media industry. After Arthur Andersen, Pilar was involved in the founding of Canal Cosmopolitan, a joint venture between the Hearst Group and Multipark, and worked with them until 2002 as the company’s Financial Manager.
In July of 2002, she joined Morena Films as Financial Manager, and in 2003 was promoted to her current position as Managing Director of the company where she heads up management and strategic planning.
Pilar also carried out the executive production work on various Morena productions, among them: Champions (Javier Fesser,2018); Everybody knows (Asghar Farhadi, 2018); Submergence (Wim Wenders, 2018); The Warning (Daniel Calparsoro,2018); To steal a thief (Daniel Calparsoro, 2016); Altamira (Hugh Hudson, 2016); The Olive tree (Iciar Bollain, 2016);
On the other hand, Pilar participates every year as a speaker on the Master in Management of the Film Industry at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
